The Cameron R-1 School District is seeking applicants for a District Activities Director for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants must have valid and appropriate Missouri certification. Ideal applicants would possess the following: minimum of five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience; minimum of five (5) years successful coaching experience; successful head coaching and/or student activity experience preferred; Administrative Certification or Masters in Athletics/Activities Administration preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: provide leadership and direction to the District’s activity/athletic programs; provide leadership and direction for the selection, supervision, assignment, training, and evaluation of coaching and assigned staff members; assume the responsibility for the organization and scheduling of all activity/athletic events; hire officials and other game event personnel as needed and work with the building principals in arranging proper supervision of athletic/activity events; arrange transportation for athletic/activity events; verify each participant’s eligibility according to established physical and academic requirements for participation in each activity according to Board policy and MSHSAA guidelines; arrange field and gym practice and game schedules.
